My Client is one of the largest Community Credit Unions in Ireland with branches in Co Meath and Co Cavan

We are excited to announce that we have several innovative projects underway which will enhance the member experience both in Branch and online in the very near future. We will have a full suite of banking services on offer in 2022 with our Debit Card offering for our membership. There are exciting times ahead for our Credit Union and we would like you to join our team.

We are seeking a Junior Compliance Analyst with excellent technical skills to ensure full adherence to its Compliance, Risk, AML/CTF and GDPR obligations. This role would suit a recent graduate, with 1-2 years’ experience in specific data and analytic skills. Expertise in Compliance would be an advantage but is not essential as the Credit Union will support this learning aspect through on-the-job training as well as formal learning.

The Role: The Person:

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Junior Compliance, AML & Risk Analyst will be responsible for providing timely information and reports to management and external bodies in respect of Compliance, AML, CDD, GDPR and Risk. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency and working to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

• Transaction Monitoring: Perform ongoing AML/CTF monitoring on Members’ transactions within the CU

• Training: Ensure that adequate training materials and up-to-date procedures are in place regarding Anti-Money laundering and Combat Terrorist Financing. Retain records of Role-Specific Training provided to Directors and Employees. Share AML/CTF expertise with colleagues and act as a reference point for complex queries.

• CDD Documentation: Request appropriate CDD documentation from Members. Maintain and report on complete and incomplete CDD records and perform timely follow up on pending CDD requests. Perform Enhanced Due Diligence where required.

• Risk Management: Risk assessment and categorisation of all Members as required. Maintain as the Risk Administrator for Compliance, AML and GDPR, the required reporting mechanisms to the Risk function. Conduct regular risk assessments in relation to Compliance, AML and GDPR.

• Reporting: Preparation of reports, assisting the Compliance Manager with monthly Board reporting on Compliance / AML / Risk & GDPR activities. In conjunction with the Compliance Manager, respond on a timely basis, to requests from the Central Bank, Data Protection Commissioner submissions etc. Provide information to Management in respect of AML/CDD/GDPR issues arising.

• Act as first point of contact for all issues related to Compliance, AML & GDPR.

• Manage, maintain and monitor policy reviews to schedule. • Keeping informed with present and future legislation and regulatory developments in the jurisdiction via continuous learning and research. • Participate in projects that may be defined in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the Credit Union.

• Degree qualification in Business or a discipline relevant to the role. Must be willing to undertake the Diploma level LCOI.

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an analytics role. • General awareness of Compliance, GDPR, and AML legislation.

• High level of proficiency in MS Office with particular focus on report writing and analysis in MS Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, filtering, formulas).

• Ability to handle large data volumes and to translate them into meaningful insights. Prior experience of MS Power BI or similar is advantageous.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is required at all times. Ability to multi-task, prioritising work to maximise efficiency and to meet strict deadlines. Show initiative by reacting quickly to changes in priorities.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

• Have strong investigative skills.

• Ability to work on own initiative, as well as in a team and embrace new skills and practices.

Remuneration:

The remuneration package will be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and skills of the successful candidate. Salary €31k - €36 depending on experience.
